Scan-A-Thon

Saturday, January 30th and Saturday, February 6th at the Yucca Valley Community Center from 9am to 4pm.

Yucca Valley Community Center

All monies collected during the Scan-a-thon will go to help pay for Tori Reiser’s tuition to attend the National Student Leadership Conference on Sports & Entertainment Management in July in New York City. You can read more about her trip here. We need to raise $2200 before March 1st.  If you can not attend the Scan-a-thon or do not have any photos you need digitized, please consider making a donation through Paypal.  You can find the donation button on the Home Page.

What is a Scan-A-Thon?

It’s an event where we will use a high speed Kodak Scanner to scan in your old photos, digitize them and then place them on a storage media device such as CD’s, DVD’s, SD Memory Cards or portable Flash Drives.

This is a great way to not only help a local residence/student attend the National Student Leadership Conference but its also a great way to preserve your photos and protect them from damage.

How it Works:

It’s best to call ahead of time to reserve an appointment.  Appointments will begin at 9am and we will take the last customer at 3:45pm.  Your appointment will range from 15 minutes to 90 minutes long depending on how many photos you need scanned (barring any technical difficulties).

The Kodak high speed scanner can take photographs up to size 8×10 and as little as wallet size.  Your photos will be scanned and then placed on your storage media such as a writable CD disk, DVD disk, SD Memory Card or a Flash Drive.  You are responsible for providing the storage media.

If you would like or do not have the time to wait around, you can also drop off your photos to be scanned and we will hand delivery them to you within 2 days.

Payment:

Payment is due when you place an order and/or drop off your photos to be scanned.  Checks, Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted.
